Went out this morning to get the full moon but it disappeared behind a winter storm coming in so got a sunrise instead.

I have been invited to hold an exhibition at the Gunnison Arts Centre in January and Francie and I are frantically preparing for the show. We have the whole center so the exhibition will consist of  USA in the main gallery, 8 large hanging canvas Faces in the center of the main space, Africa in the reception and passage, Appleby going up the stairs, Bangladesh in the upstairs gallery and 8 posters in the large windows facing out on the street.

The Island in the Sky mesa rests on sheer sandstone cliffs over 1,000 feet above the surrounding terrain. Every overlook offers a different perspective on Canyonlands’ spectacular landscape.

This is one of the most spectacular views anywhere and getting out in the rain was worth it.

    Rowedean - It sure was worth getting out in the rain!! Great photo, love it. Canyonlands is one of my favorite parks – spectacular vistas.
