The “Allan Ivy Photography Gallery” in Gunnison Colorado is taking shape. The building work is finished and the furniture is in place, just deciding what photographs to hang for the opening. I am also trying to secure an old school bus to put out front. This one made me famous in Gunnison and I hope that I can use it, still in negotiations!!

You have really captured such a moment of contrast… the peaceful, highly illuminated foreground and the dark, impending drama of the storm beyond. It’s almost unreal in its beauty.
Wow, what a fantastic sky! Perfection as usual Allan!
I can feel the approaching storm!!! You are so good, Allan.
Wow … Its amazing! Cant wait to get there!!!!!

Americans are broad-minded people. They’ll accept the fact that a person can be an alcoholic, a dope fiend, a wife beater, and even a newspaperman, but if a man doesn’t drive, there is something wrong with him. ~Art Buchwald, “How Un-American Can You Get?

These must be a ways from the road!
“You can’t see anything from a car; you’ve got to get out of the goddamn contraption and walk, better yet crawl, on hands and knees, over the sandstone and through the thornbrush and cactus. When traces of blood begin to mark your trail, you’ll see something, maybe.” ~Edward Abbey
